Not things, not even people.
Material things are just temporary. People come and go as well. But God? He’s always there and He always will.
People may hurt us, bring us down, or fail us, but God would never do that. He wants what’s best for us. He has His own plan for us.
I’m not telling that we shouldn’t invest relationships with people. That’s alright, given that those people are worth it - those who bring you up instead of those who pull you down, those people who want you to succeed, not fail, and those people who help you appreciate the love of God even more because of their presence.
Choose wisely, love wisely. Take a look who appreciates your being even more.
